GET STARTED: Username and Password

 

Terminologies:
    
    There are three categories that brightspace account users are assigned: Administrators, Instructors and Learners. 

    Administrators

    An administrator is the individual responsible for the day to day operation and management of the Brightspace platform. In addition, the administrator is responsible for the installation and configuration of Brightspace products and tools.

    Instructors

    An instructor is the individual responsible for planning and delivering courses to learners in Brightspace Learning Environment.  Additional responsibilities can include:

  • assessing and grading learners
  • measuring and guiding learner performance and engagement
    You as a Clinical Perceptor/Facilitator/Coordinator will belong in this category.

    Learners

    A learner is the individual viewing course content in Brightspace Learning Environment. They are assessed on the knowledge they acquire on their learning journey. They are the students and/or Interns.



REQUIREMENTS
     If you already have Google Chrome and/or Mozilla Firefox browser, be sure to update them to the latest version to avoid security issues.

     If you do not have the Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox browser, please download and install either one or both. Virtual Classroom works without issues only in these two browsers, whether in a desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone.

Where can I find my username?

    Your username for accessing CELO+ Brightspace Learning Environment is provided by your institution. If you want to add someone in the future you may contact your respective MEU secretary. 


    If you are trying to log in to CELO+ Brightspace Learning Environment for the first time, check your school email (if available) or personal email address (you provided for enrollment in Brightspace ) to see if you received an email containing the username you should be using for CELO+ Brightspace Learning Environment.


Steps: 

  1. Look in the Inbox of the email address you provided for enrollment in Brightspace for an email from System - No Reply; check also in your Spam Folder. The subject of the email is "6606 - CeLo+: Enrollment Confirmation”.Which looks like this:
  2. Open the Email titled: CeLo+ Password Reset. Take note of your username in the statement "You have been enrolled in CeLo+ with the following username: XxxxxXxxxx”.(blurred my username in the picture below for security purposes). Click the link to "Set up a password" or Reset my Password" and follow the instructions. 
  3.  Enter your Username and the Password you intend to use and Click "submit"The password must be between 8 and 50 characters in length. Please remember this username and password combination for CELO+ as this will be the login details you will be using from now on. (In the event that you are unable to do step 3 and you are seeing "UNABLE TO RESET PASSWORD", please scroll down to TROUBLESHOOTING, it will guide you to access and login to CELO+ LMS). 
  4. When successful, you will see the image below. Click "Go to login page".

  5. You should be able to see the welcome page of CELO+ Brightspace Learning Environment. To login, Type your Username and Password and click "Login".
  6. Congratulations! You have now completed setting up your CELO+ username and Password. You should be able to see you "Homepage". A Homepage is the introductory page of a website, typically serving as a table of contents for the site. This is what you will always see when you login. 




    If its your first time logging in, it is better to follow steps on "Where can i find my username?" You should be able to login to CELO+ Brightspace by the end of that topic. 

    For succeeding log ins, you may visit https://cdu.brightspace.com/d2l/login and enter your username and password to log in to CELO+ Brightspace LMS. 

Steps: 
  1. Click the link to visit CELO+ Brightspace account(https://cdu.brightspace.com/d2l/login). You should be able to see the welcome page of CELO+ Brightspace Learning Environment. To login, Type your Username and Password and click "Login".
  2. Congratulations! You have now completed setting up your CELO+ username and Password. You should be able to see you "Homepage". A Homepage is the introductory page of a website, typically serving as a table of contents for the site. This is what you will always see when you login. 


How do I log out of brightspace?

    CELO+ Brightspace is intelligent enough that once you close CELO+, it will automatically sign you out. For extra security measures, it is still important to log out.

STEPS:
  1. On the minibar, click your username.
  2. Click Log Out.

TROUBLESHOOTING:
    In the event that you are unable to do step 3 and you are seeing "UNABLE TO RESET PASSWORD". This occurs because the email sent to you to  reset your password is only be valid for 72 hours. If 72 hours have passed and have not reset your password, you'll have to request a new one. Follow the step below to solve the issue and log in to CELO+ Brightspace:
  1. Click "Request a new password reset link"

  2. Enter the "Username" given to you by CELO+, located in the Email and click "submit".
  3.  You should see Password Reset Email Sent.
  4. You should receive a similar email you got in Step 2. Click "Reset my Password" in the new email you got from CELO+. 
  5. Enter your Username and the Password you intend to use and Click "submit". Please remember this username and password combination for CELO+ as this will be the login details you will be using from now on. 
  6. When successful, you will see the image below. Click "Go to login page".

  7. You should be able to see the welcome page of CELO+ Brightspace Learning Environment. To login, Type your Username and Password and click "Login".
  8. Congratulations! You have now completed setting up your CELO+ username and Password. You should be able to see you "Homepage". A Homepage is the introductory page of a website, typically serving as a table of contents for the site. This is what you will always see when you login.
